WHEREAS, The Department of Audit and Control require Town Boards to sign and inspect all vouchers coming into the town for payment, to number and total amounts from each fund.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorize the following vouchers paid:

Highway Fund                                        $ 94,670.61

Phoenicia Water District                       $ 16,186.50

RESOLUTION # 154                                    OFFERED BY:

WHEREAS,  the Town of Shandaken shall perform certain snow plowing and sanding services

during the winter of 2010 – 2011 for and on the premises of the Mt. Tremper, Phoenicia, Shandaken, Big Indian – Oliverea and the Pine Hill Firehouses,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that for and in consideration of such snow plowing and sanding services the said firehouses shall pay to the Town of Shandaken the sum of $1.00 receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the fire districts shall save the Town of Shandaken free of any claims, causes of action or liability for damages to persons or property arising out of the services to be performed by the Town of Shandaken, its agents, servants or employees in the performance of this agreement

RESOLUTION # 155                              OFFERED BY:

WHEREAS, the Town of Shandaken shall perform certain snow plowing and sanding services during the winter of 2010 – 2011 for and on the premises of the St Francis de Sales Church in Phoenicia, Shandaken Methodist Church in Shandaken, Phoenicia Methodist Church in Phoenicia and Shandaken Community Church in Mt. Tremper.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that for and in consideration of such snow plowing and sanding services the said Churches shall pay to the Town of Shandaken the sum of $1.00 receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said churches shall save the Town of Shandaken free of any claims, causes of action or liability for damages to persons or property arising out of the services to be performed by the Town of Shandaken, its agents, servants or employees in the performance of this agreement.

WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Town Board to hold an end of year meeting, to pay bills and transfer funds to overdrawn accounts and complete all year end business.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that this meeting be held on the 29th day of December at 1:00 pm, and be it further

RESOLVED, that all bills and or vouchers be presented for payment on or before December 17th
at 12 noon 2010 for auditing

WHEREAS, The Town Board held a public hearing on this date to hear all those present on the adoption of a Local Law to amend Chapter 69 of the Town Code of the Town of Shandaken and shall be known as the “Dog Control law of the Town of Shandaken”.

THEREFORE be it resolved that the Town Board adopt the above captioned local law as Local Law #    Of the year 2010 and be it

FURTHER resolved that the Town Clerk file Local Law #   with the Department of State.

Resolution Increasing Employees Contribution to Healthcare

WHEREAS, The Town of Shandaken Town Board understands the need to provide quality Healthcare coverage to its employees and

WHEREAS, currently all employees on the Town’s Healthcare Plan contribute 15% on the Single w/dependants Plan and 25% to the Family Plan and

WHEREAS, currently Single Plan Members make no contribution,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as per the Town Board of the Town of Shandaken effective January 1, 2011, any employees who, currently or in the future plans to, exercise their right to the Single Plan coverage under the Town of Shandaken is to contribute 10% of the total cost of said Health Plan, whatever company is providing said coverage.

PINE HILL FIRE COMPANY CONTRACT

WHEREAS, The Pine Hill Fire Company provides fire protection services for the Hamlet of Pine Hill and

WHEREAS, the Town collects taxes based on the cost to provide those services,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board of The Town of Shandaken allow the Supervisor to enter into contract with the Pine Hill Fire Company to dispense said funds to the Company and continue those fire protection services.

POLICE CONTRACT

WHEREAS,  the Town of Shandaken Police Department and the Town of Shandaken Town Board have created an agreement by and between all parties, and

WHEREAS, this agreement will run from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2014

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Shandaken Town Board adopt this agreement and that a copy be distributed to all part and full time Police Officers.
