The Town Board met this date one week later then the advertised meeting, due to Tropical Storm Irene, with the following members present: Deputy Supervisor Bernstein, Councilman Bartlett and Malloy. Supervisor Stanley and Councilman Jordan were absent.
Others present: Liz Higgins, Candace Balmer, and Tierney & Hunter Byron.

SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Shandaken Town Board will hold a Special Town Board meeting on July 29, 2011, 3:00 pm at the Shandaken Town Hall to receive RFQ’s for a Flood Mitigation Consultant. This meeting will be held at the Shandaken Town Hall, 7209 Route 28, Shandaken, New York.

REQUESTS FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR FLOOD MITIGATION CONSULTANT
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Shandaken is advertising for Request for Qualifications (RFQ 1-2011) for a Flood Mitigation Consultant to assist the Town in developing a Flood Mitigation Plan for the Town of Shandaken with an estimation completion date of June 2012.
The project Description and Scope of Work are available at the Town Supervisor’s or Town clerk’s Office or by calling 845-688-7165 or 688-5004.
RFQ’s will be received at a Special Town Board meeting, on July 29, 2011, 3:00pm at the Shandaken Town Hall, 7209 Route 28, Shandaken, New York .

Deputy Supervisor Bernstein – said that these will go to the committee and they will make a decision.
Councilman Malloy – stated that anyone with flood debris can take it to the Saugerties Transfer station for free.
Councilman Bernstein said that the Town also has dumpsters at all of the firehouses for all of the flood debris.
Motion by Councilman Bartlett to adjourn this special meeting, seconded by Councilman Malloy, all in favor, motion carried.
