The Town Board met this date as per the following notice published in the official Town Newspaper with the following members present: Supervisor Stanley, Councilman Bartlett, Bernstein, Jordan and Malloy. Others present, Building Inspector/Zoning Officer Richard Stokes, FEMA secretary Amie Goodrich, and residents Kathy Jordan, John and Jane Rossitz.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Shandaken Town Board will hold a Special Town Board Meeting on Tuesday October 18, 2011 at 3:00 pm. The Purpose of this meeting is to discuss and execute two contracts one for work to be done on the cell tower and one for with the CWC for distribution of flood funds. This meeting will be held at the Town Hall, 7209 Route 28, Shandaken, New York.

Motion by Supervisor Stanley to authorize the Supervisor to sign an easement for Verizon of New York, Inc., to allow access to the Tower Site on Town property, seconded by Councilman Jordan, all in favor, motion carried.
CATSKILL WATERSHED CORPORATION FLOOD RELIEF PROGRAM AUTHORIZATION
RESOLUTION #134 OFFERED BY Supervisor Stanley
WHEREAS, the Town of Shandaken sustained severe damage from flooding caused by Tropical
Storm Irene beginning on August 28, 2011; and
WHEREAS, residents in Shandaken may be eligible for grants for repair/replacement of
damages to residences through the Federal emergency Management Agency, among others; and
WHEREAS, no governmental grants exist to assist businesses in the Town of Shandaken to
repair structural damage; and
WHEREAS, the Catskill Watershed Corporation board of directors held a special emergency board meeting on September 13, 2011 and established the Catskill Watershed Corporation Flood Recovery Grant Program to provide grants through and in cooperation with watershed towns up to for-profit businesses for repair of structural damage due to Tropical Storms Irene and Lee; and
WHEREAS, under the CWC Flood Recovery Grant Program individual watershed towns must designate businesses for inclusion in the Catskill Watershed Corporation Flood Relief Program; and
WHEREAS, the town of Shandaken desires to participate in the Catskill Watershed
Corporation Flood Relief Program.
NOW THEREFORE, the town of Shandaken by and through its Town Board authorizes the Town Supervisor to participate in the Catskill Watershed Corporation Flood Relief Program and execute an agreement with the Catskill Watershed Corporation for a total amount not to exceed Three Hundred Thirty-One Thousand Dollars ($331,000).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the town of Shandaken desires
that businesses listed in Attachment A at the amounts therein be included in the Catskill
Watershed Corporation Flood Relief Program.

The Town board went over the entire list, after all of the paperwork is in they will have to have a Special Town Board Meeting and go into and Executive session to determine who could be eligible for the grants.
All Paperwork for these grants has to be in on October 31, 2011.
Dumpsters will be out until October 28, 2011, then, they will be picked up and gone.
