“Our goal is to enable our children the opportunity to enjoy the beauty and splendor that is the Catskill Mountains. Our summer recreation program provides swimming, arts and crafts, nature walks, reading literacy, fields and games. The camp is free for all Shandaken residents. We take 2 field trips every summer. Our trips are to expose the campers to new places and environments to enrich their lives.”
*Children must be 5 yrs of age & have graduated Kindergarten to sign up for Summer Rec. By NYS Dept. of Health Law, must have recent vaccination records to attend.
This summer 2025, Shandaken summer recreation will have 2 trips. No Outside Food. On Thursday, July 31st, 2025 we will attend a Yankees game at the Yankees Stadium in Bronx, NY, against Tampa Bay Rays. The game will start at 1 pm. Due to the nature of game, Shandaken pick up time will start at 9 am and departing from Yankees Stadium at 4:30pm. The fee is $45. for 1 chaperone and $30. for campers. Each ticket comes with a $15. food voucher and a string backpack with the Yankees logo on it. *We are limiting to one chaperone per family due to limited tickets available.

On Wednesday, August 13th, 2025 we will be at Zoom Flume Water Park. Shandaken pick up time will start at 7:30 am and departing from the park at 2:30 pm. The fee for chaperone is $30. and $20 for campers. (tickets for Zoom Flume will be available at a later date).
*Chaperones should not drink alcohol or use illicit substances while on field trips
