LEGAL NOTICE

ANNUAL ELECTION OF THE BIG INDIAN-OLIVEREA FIRE DISTRICT

On December 12, 2023

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Election of the Big Indian-Oliverea Fire District will take place on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Big Indian-Oliverea Fire House located at 8 Firehouse Road, Big Indian, NY 12410 for the purpose of electing one Commissioner for a five (5) year term, commencing January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2028.  All voters registered with the Ulster County Board of Elections on or before November 2023 and residing in the Big Indian-Oliverea Fire District shall be eligible to vote.

            Any candidate for the Fire District Office of Commissioner shall have filed his/her name with the Secretary of the Big Indian-Oliverea Fire District by sending a letter via first class mail to the Fire District address: Secretary Stephanie Pearlman, P.O. Box 222, Big Indian, New York 12410.  This name(s) shall be filed with the Secretary on or before November 22, 2023, which is 20 days before the election.
